Nige 54 - The Column December 2005 Well here we are! Nearly at the end of 2005 and as the song says, "what have we done?" Mmmmm, maybe there's something for all of us to think about there. Just like with presents, there are many decisions to be made at this time of year and due to the team at NIGE54.COM wanting to focus on some "other projects" in 2006, this column will be our final column. Now before everyone yells out, "wants the point in living?!" don't worry, we will still be around, are happy to receive your emails and we will probably still send out a few newsletters in 2006. Nige 54 "THE 2005 NIGE 54 AWARDS - THE NIGESTERS" Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the second annual presentation of "The 2005 Nige 54 Awards" otherwise known as "The Nigesters". To be nominated for a "Nigester" there is no real set criteria other than a person or an establishment making an outstanding contribution to life, partying, nudity and all round non-stop madness that inspires everyone around this person or establishment to enjoy life to the full. Consequently, a person or establishment who inspires the exact opposite of this must also be recognised to ensure this patheticness is laughed at and hopefully never repeated. Throughout the year, the founding members of "The Nige 54 Academy" have worked tirelessly conducting a regular and often mentally exhaustive analysis to decide who the winners will be - in other words and just like this time last year, we all went to the bar during Happy Hour with a pad and pen and got fucked up. So here, at NIGE54.COM and for the second year running, we have much pleasure in awarding "The Nigesters" to the following winners: Best Party Location: Cancun, Mexico during Spring Break. I have it on very good authority that Spring Break in Cancun went to a new level this year and apparently the babes, the partying and the nudity were at ridiculous heights as once again American babes showed that they are the best party girls on earth. Best Beach: Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro. For the second year in a row, Ipanema Beach takes out a "Nigester" due to the amount of hot Brazilian women in G-Bangers numbering close to infinity, the cheap alcohol and delicious food - it simply does not get any better than this. Best Bar: 'Sharkeez' in Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles. Still one of the greatest bars in the world. Best Nightclub: Coco Bongo, Cancun. Check out cocobongo.dnsalias.net. Enough said. Best Time to Get Action: Spring Break, U.S.A. For the Aussies out there let me put it this way - it is 10 times better than the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne. Best Sports Team: A 'Nigester' is awarded to both the Australian Soccer team 'The Socceroos' who have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 32 years and also to the English cricket team who kicked the Aussies ass to win 'The Ashes' for the first time in 20 years. The celebrations for both teams would have been world class. Worst Sports Team: The ICI World XI cricket team. The absolute definition of a joke. Best Film: Nige 54: The First 30 Years. Who wants a copy? Best T.V. Show: 'CSI Miami'. Nothing came along in 2005 that was even close to knocking off the 2004 winner. Brilliant, sexy and drama packed. Best Actor: Jamie Foxx. He picked up a well deserved Oscar this year and we are happy to award him a "Nigester" for his fine work over the last year. He's currently filming 'Miami Vice' with Colin Farrell and the stories from that movie set must be mind blowing. Babe of the Year: Jessica Simpson. Her photo shoot for the July 2005 edition of 'GQ' left her streaks ahead of the competition and thus we awarded her this "Nigester" for the second year running. We adore her. Best Crackwhore: Kate Moss. There are members of the NIGE54.COM team who are in love with Kate Moss so to put her in this category was tough. However, 'Cocaine Kate' has gone off the rails recently with her alleged drug use at a London recording studio with Pete Doherty and a rumoured range of lesbian threesomes involving Sadie Frost and Davinia Taylor. Word is that when Jude Law (Sadie's husband at the time) found out about this, he became jealous that his wife had enjoyed such pleasures without him so he was substituted for Davinia. Jude, you are da man! But Kate, while the 'Nigester' for Best Crackwhore is awarded to you in 2005, rest assured it is awarded to you in admiration more than anything else. Biggest Pretender: Shane Warne. During this year's Ashes Tour Warney became involved in more sexual allegations with average looking chicks and his wife and kids finally left him as a result. Now he looks like a real schmuck. Oh well, at least he's a millionaire and the greatest wicket taker of all time. But ask yourself this Shane - is it all worth it when your family leaves you in disgrace? Mmmmm. Worst Fashion Sense: Any guy STILL wearing a pink polo. Remember the catch phrase - 'wear a pink polo, go home solo.' Best Song: 'Hung Up' by Madonna. Easily the greatest song of the summer - just ask the hot babes we hooked up with at Byron Bay over New Years Eve! Best Music Video: 'Don't Cha' The Pussy Cat Dolls. So hot, so sexy and just so god damn delicious......hang on, I need to take some deep breaths. Best Band: Bon Jovi. They've done it again with "Have A Nice Day" and with over 100,000,000 albums sold, they are without doubt the coolest rock 'n' roll band of all time. Best Magazine: AUTOBABES. Now we move on to the two platinum coated "Nigesters" for 2005. The Most Outstanding Performance in a Celebrity Sex Video: Unfortunately it has been a disappointing year for celebrity sex videos as celebrities are becoming far more careful with their recordings. Damn! Nevertheless, 'The Nigester' this year goes to Colin Farrell who apparently stars in a sensational movie involving a number of hot babes. None of us here at Nige 54 have seen it, so if anyone out there has a copy please send it through. (By the way, we're also still hunting for the Jo Beth Taylor video from the mid-90s so if anyone has that, we'll gladly pay top dollar). Anyway Colin, well done on another top year of partying hard while making great movies - both in and out of the bedroom. The 2005 Errol Flynn Lifetime Achievement Award: This year's most prestigious Award has been won by one of, if not the greatest, actors of all time. This gentleman became a huge star in the 1970s and since then he has dated some of the hottest actresses over two generations and to this day remains Hollywood's longest serving bachelor. His romances over the years have included Diane Keaton, Kathleen Quinlan, Debra Winger, Tuesday Weld, the gorgeous Penelope Ann Miller during and following the filming of 'Carlito's Way' and of course his on again off again romance with the delicious Beverley D'Angelo to name but a few. To prove that this guy is still killin' it, he was recently seen romancing with none other than Elle MacPherson - quite impressive for a 65 year old guy! There must be scores of other liaisons and incidents that very few know about, but just imagine the amount of parties, the babes and the possibilities that come with being a life long bachelor in Hollywood. Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the 2005 Errol Flynn Lifetime Achievement Award is......Mr. Al Pacino. Well thank-you everyone as that concludes "The Nigesters" for 2005.
